Escuela Internacional de Yoga is aware of the importance of the knowledge of anatomy in the practice of Yoga.
Both for teachers and practitioners, it is essential to understand the physiological function and structural mechanisms that act on the body and its various responses, through postures, breathing or movement.
This approach to anatomy is the foundation upon which are built the spontaneous sensitivity and intelligence that can not develop without a basic understanding and basic sensory awareness.

|
In this sense, the School has always sought quality training in anatomy that can also go hand in hand with a methodology that does not forget the primary objective of raising awareness and awaken in students a clear reconnection with the body from perception and understanding.
The school organizes courses of specialization in Anatomy for Yoga teachers or practitioners who want to delve into some key aspects of Yoga from this knowledge.
The school has integrated over the years, both on the teacher training and on its activities and daily classes, the work developed by Blandine Calais-Germain ®-creator of the method of Anatomy of Movement ®.
Anatomyoga ® is the registered name by Blandine Calais-Germain for the specific work on Anatomy and Yoga based on her method Anatomy of Movement ® of over 30 years of development and known worldwide.

Anatomy of Movement ®
Blandine Calais-Germain Method ®
Anatomy of Movement ® is a method of bodywork, with anatomic basis, designed and developed by Blandine Calais-Germain, whose lessons are included in the book "Anatomy of Movement" (Volumes I and II), "The Female Perineum", "Respiratory Gesture," "Giving birth in Motion," "Safe Abdominals" and "Safe Pilates". This multisensory method of teaching anatomy alternates theoretical knowledge with practical exercises, and allows acquiring, easily, the necessary anatomical knowledge for the practice of body movement.
Educated in the Montessori school, Blandine Calais Germain, after having been a great dancer and dance teacher, studied physiotherapy, which completed in 1980.
Following these studies, she finds a special interest in anatomy. After her experience with private physiotherapy and in hospitals, she starts teaching anatomy, initially at the request of the dancers. Her most important work is focused on providing professional knowledge of the movement to protect the body structure and improve movement.

According to Blandine, anatomy is often presented as a daunting science: classical education is based on texts too much related to pathology. Blandine Calais Germain developed the means and resources to deliver simple, lively and fast knowledge, by linking it directly to the movements.
Throughout the years she has created and developed other methods for specific study of anatomy in addition to "Anatomy of Movement ®", "Safe Abdominals ®," "Safe Pilates Safe", "Anatomy of the Voice ®" and "Anatomyoga ® "
